Maxine Baker, a girl with the horrific powers to bring dead animals back to life! I wanted to draw some Animal Man fanart and felt like drawing Maxine Baker in the costume she’s appeared in on the covers but not inside the comic, yet anyways. 

Along with Swamp Thing, Animal Man was one of the best things to come out of the reboot. I was already excited when I heard Jeff Lemire was writing. Having read his past work, I knew he was a guy that was gonna get the family aspect of Animal Man. But dang did the comic turn out better than I expected. 

I’m also super excited for the possible crossover comic Jeff Lemire and Scott Snyder might do. Jeff said on twitter it would be “called DEADWORLD and it’s epic. Swampy and Aman and Abby and Maxine vs the world!” Which sounds badass.
